Join us for an evening discussion on Being LGBTQ+ in the Workplace. We will explore the successes, challenges, and current issues LGBTQ+ people experience in today's professional world.
For years, significant strides have been made in advancing LGBTQ+ rights and inclusivity in the workplace, but new attacks on LGBTQ+ rights have presented different challenges. This event will shed light on the complex and evolving landscape for LGBTQ+ people in the workforce. Hear from LGBTQ+ alumni about their experiences in the workplace and spend time networking in small groups.
We are looking for LGBTQ+ alumni and community members to join the event as mentors who can answer student questions during the networking portion of the event. If you are interested in serving as a mentor, please indicate that during the registration process.
Our event aims to foster dialogue, share experiences, and offer practical strategies for individuals and organizations looking to create more inclusive workplaces for everyone. All are welcome.
This registration page is for alumni and community member participants, students interested in attending should register in Handshake here.
This event is hosted by the American University Alumni Association in partnership with the Career Center, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, AU Pride, and the Pride Alumni Alliance.
Refreshments will be served.
