Eagles in Action is a signature program of the Alumni Association. These annual service projects bring alumni together to perform an act of service for their community as well as strengthen the bond between fellow Eagles and American University.
This year, the San Francisco Chapter will support GLIDE, a nationally recognized center for social justice, dedicated to fighting systemic injustices, creating pathways out of poverty and crisis, and transforming lives. GLIDE's mission is to create a radically inclusive, just, and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization. AU volunteers will help with the set up and meal service for our elderly and disabled community members. This will include setting up the main dining room and coffee house, preparing food trays, and basic meal service.
Attendees are welcome to join for a post-event social hour starting at 2 p.m. Location will be disclosed upon RSVP.
